Glucotor® v.2 Frequently Asked Questions

Glucotor

How much fiber is in Glucotor? I have been dieting and supplementing with one serving a day of fiber (psyllium). I was wondering if I take the Glucotor, would I still need to supplement with the psyllium.
Each Glucotor capsule contains less than 700 mg of fiber. That means that, at most, Glucotor provides less than 4 grams a day. But the fiber in Glucotor is not the same as the psyllium fiber. The Glucotor fiber is actually used in the intestinal tract to fill carbohydrate receptor sites. Psyllium provides water-soluble bulk fiber that helps keep fecal matter moving along. In other words, even if you are using Glucotor, you will want to be using psyllium or ground flax seed in addition.

I see that you mention the possibility of experiencing a ‘crash’ of low blood sugar when taking Glucotor on an empty stomach. What are the implications of a hypoglycemic taking Glucotor?
For obvious legal reasons, we cannot diagnose or prescribe for specific medical conditions, merely provide information. With that in mind…

High and low blood sugar are not different conditions, but actually two sides of the same coin.

As you will see, the same rules apply for dealing with both high and low blood sugar. Glucotor is helpful for both.
